- key responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and maintain ehs policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
3. Coordinate and conduct training programs for employees on ehs policies, procedures, and regulations.
4. Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
5. Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
6. Manage and maintain ehs records, reports, and documentation.
7. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management and disposal.
8. Coordinate with external regulatory agencies and consultants as needed.
experiência y requisitos
- bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
- minimum 2 years of experience in ehs, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- knowledge of ehs regulations, including osha, epa, and state-specific requirements.
- certification in ehs, such as osha 30-hour general industry certification or certified safety professional (csp).
- strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- experience with ehs management systems, such as iso 14001 or ohsas 18001.
