- payroll processing: process timely and accurate payroll including calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions for all employees.
- termination processing: ensure correct and timely calculations and pay are executed.
- regulatory compliance: ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor and l tax regulations and reporting requirements relevant to payroll processing.
- confidentiality maintenance: uphold the confidentiality of all payroll and employee information, safeguarding sensitive data.
- reconciliation and reporting: prepare, document, and analyze payroll reconciliations; generate relevant weekly/bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports while maintaining meticulous records.
- audit collaboration: partner with audit teams to facilitate successful audits and ongoing reviews of hr transactions, payroll details, and gl information, taking ownership of any necessary remediation plans.
- process improvement: create and maintain standard operating procedures and work documents; recommend enhancements and new functionalities to optimize payroll processes and drive efficiency.
- benefits coordination: work closely with the benefits team to manage, process, and reconcile benefits and related deductions for employees, such as health benefits, leaves; manage fonacot process.
- tax calculations: process and calculate all applicable taxes, direct deposits, and deductions for employees.
- comprehensive data entry: enter prorated salaries, bonuses, reimbursements, stock options, and other relevant payroll transactions into payroll systems.
- tax filing assistance: idse, sua, incapacidades, sdi.
- employee support: provide exceptional customer service and act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
- cross-department collaboration: collaborate with hr, finance, and other departments to align payroll processes with organizational goals and resolve any discrepancies.
*who you are*
- bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience processing payroll for a +200 employee ´s organization, ideally multinational.
- ability to work autonomously and prioritize effectively, working independently with mínimal supervision.
- bilingual english and spanish is required.
- desirable expertise in ceridian dayforce.
- desirable expertise in time management systems; systems.
- strong understanding of hr and payroll policies, practices, and regulations, in méxico.
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with strong prioritization skills.
- strong customer service orientation.

- intermediate to advanced skills with microsoft excel including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools (charts and graphs).
- payroll software and systems implementation experience is highly desirable.
