This expansion role is for a network engineer in the brazil/mexico/philippines area to perform remote support with various customers to implement and support palo alto firewalls and cisco-based networks. Your first project is a full-time position with one of our customers managing palo alto and cisco network devices and providing support for the customer’s follow the sun model.
in this role, you will:
* implement, troubleshoot, and document enterprise networks and related systems
* implement, manage palo alto firewalls
* provide knowledge transfer and informal training to clients
what you need to succeed:
* strong understanding and skills on palo alto firewalls
* cisco certified network associate (ccna) level expertise in enterprise infrastructure (formerly route/switch), (enterprise wireless and collaboration are welcome as well - let's talk)
* demonstrable experience in the implementation, troubleshooting and support of large enterprise networks
* good understanding and practical experience with routing protocols (eigrp, osfp, and bgp)
* good understanding and practical experience with switching technologies (spanning tree, etherchannel, port security, 802.1x, mab)
* willingness and ability to travel 50%
desirable:
* strongly prefer experience with the implementation of cisco-based wireless network infrastructure
* wireless experience preferably with meraki is required
