JOB PURPOSE
The Marketing Procurement Assistant Manager – Americas will enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the Ice Cream business globally in the Marketing spend area. The role collaborates with Marketing (global-regional), CMI, R&D; and Finance to streamline procurement processes and implement high-impact solutions. As the business becomes stand-alone, the role will drive growth-oriented strategies and align with global objectives while reducing fragmentation and accelerating decision-making.
The successful candidate will drive category value through negotiations, technical and analytical skills to move the ice cream business toward the highest levels of innovation, design and commercialization, while ensuring equipment is delivered timely to all countries in the portfolio. This role requires proactive stakeholder management and efficient sourcing strategies aligned with Ice Cream BG’s objectives. Regular engagement with Global and Regional Leadership Teams will ensure alignment with dynamic market needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with regional and local stakeholders, align with Ice Cream business priorities, and manage expectations with Portfolio Leads and senior stakeholders.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report KPIs related to procurement activities; ensure strategies contribute to financial and operational targets.
- Portfolio Coordination: Work with BU Leads to ensure regional execution aligns with global strategy; define, adapt and implement procurement initiatives to maximize impact.
- Performance Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency and optimization within the marketing sourcing process; reduce fragmentation and drive sustainable sourcing strategies.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research on industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing dynamics to inform procurement decisions.
- Accountability for Results: Deliver on financial and operational KPIs and support growth agendas.
- Best Practices Sharing: Act as a subject matter expert for marketing procurement and share best practices across markets.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Proven experience in marketing procurement with a focus on strategy creation, strategic sourcing plans and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across functions and markets in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong capability in stakeholder management and building collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
- High proficiency in contract negotiation, data-driven decision-making, and change management.
- Ability to manage complex projects and drive region-specific solutions aligned with global strategies.
EXPERIENCES, QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 5 years experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in marketing procurement under managerial roles within FMCG.
- Experience in managing complex marketing portfolios across diverse categories.
- Understanding of supply chain and value chain management in the context of end-to-end marketing ecosystem, ideally globally.
- Strong business acumen balancing long-term strategy with short-term execution.
- Willingness to travel 20% of the time.
