We are seeking a skilled and results-driven retention marketing specialist to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for driving customer retention and loyalty by leveraging email, sms, and other direct-to-consumer marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will be experienced with klaviyo, understand shopify, google analytics, and have a strong background in e-commerce marketing. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our retention efforts, optimizing campaigns, and ensuring customers remain engaged with our brand for the long term. Additionally, this position offers the opportunity to expand your skill set and knowledge into paid media channels, learning and working with platforms like meta, google, youtube, and tiktok, providing a comprehensive understanding of both retention and acquisition strategies.key responsibilities:develop and execute retention campaigns: lead the strategy, creation, and execution of email and sms marketing campaigns using klaviyo, with a focus on customer retention, engagement, and loyalty.customer segmentation: create and manage customer segmentation strategies to deliver personalized and targeted messages to different customer groups, driving engagement and repeat purchases.lifecycle marketing: implement and manage lifecycle marketing programs, including welcome series, win-back campaigns, post-purchase follow-ups, and other automated flows within klaviyo.e-commerce integration: collaborate with the e-commerce team to seamlessly integrate retention strategies into the shopify platform, ensuring campaigns are fully optimized to drive revenue.data analysis & optimization: leverage google analytics and klaviyo reporting to track campaign performance, customer behavior, and conversion rates. Use insights to continuously improve retention strategies and achieve key performance indicators (kpis).a/b testing: conduct a/b testing to determine the best-performing content, subject lines, send times, and segmentation strategies to maximize campaign effectiveness.cross-channel strategy: collaborate with the digital marketing and paid media teams to ensure a cohesive approach across email, sms, and other channels such as social media and paid ads.customer feedback loop: gather customer feedback and use data to develop insights into customer preferences, satisfaction, and areas of improvement, driving further retention and loyalty.shopify optimization: work closely with the shopify team to ensure that the customer journey is seamless across email, sms, and web, identifying opportunities for optimizing retention touchpoints.loyalty programs: assist in the development and management of customer loyalty programs, ensuring they are effectively promoted through email and sms campaigns.qualifications:proven experience in retention marketing, with a strong emphasis on email and sms marketing strategies.hands-on experience with klaviyo and shopify platforms is required.strong knowledge of google analytics and other ecommerce reporting tools.familiarity with direct-to-consumer (dtc) e-commerce strategies, with a focus on driving repeat purchases and customer lifetime value (clv).data-driven mindset with excellent analytical skills to track and optimize performance.ability to work cross-functionally with e-commerce, digital marketing, and creative teams.strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.experience with a/b testing and personalization strategies in email and sms marketing.excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear, engaging customer messaging.preferred qualifications:experience working with loyalty and rewards programs.familiarity with additional marketing platforms such as meta ads, google ads, or other paid media channels.knowledge of customer journey mapping and retention funnel optimization.
