manufacturing excellence manager - powders and drying, your future position?
in this role, you will play a key part in givaudan's taste and wellbeing operations across latin america.
you will be dedicated to powder blending and drying specific technologies, working with process technology and givaudan production system (gps) leads across the region.
key objectives of the role include ensuring smooth introduction of new products and technologies in manufacturing, ensuring shop floor best practices through the global gps program, key support for regional projects that touch the shop floor, including technical work on transfers of production across the region.
*your key responsibilities will be*:
drive manufacturing best practice
accountable for the development of global standards linked to manufacturing and process technology in close collaboration with the global team.
accountable for the gps program in the region, aligned with global team, including any savings targets.
drive process improvements that will impact site performance (quality, cost reduction, yield, safety).
identify, justify, provide scope and process requirements for technical process improvement projects.
strong link to engineering.
support for technical commissioning and start-up of key new equipment / processes at sites.
coordination of regional projects that will have impact on shop floor execution or detailed scheduling systems.
manage technical problem solving and support master plan development
support for process issues that require technical intervention.
strong link to quality function.
provide input for the technical process aspects for site master plans, linked to site operations, regional engineering and global manufacturing excellence teams.
technical support and oversight of key production transfer projects within region.
manage new product industrialization
rules and adherence for scale-up and first time orders.
strong collaboration with fc&a and science & technology.
strong link with local process techs
support complex investigations linked process failures.
support the technical development of local technical team.
provide technical training for them.

*your professional profile includes*:
university degree in engineering or science.
at least 10 years of related experience working in industrial operations in the food ingredients, foods, chemical or pharmaceutical industries.
manufacturing/engineering technical background, including product industrialization, complex machinery and material flow, installations and evaluation of equipment into a growth environment, in multinational companies.
experience with powders and drying technologies is a plus.
project management experience.
advanced level in spanish and english.
passionate and drive for lean change.
post-graduation and or specialization is a plus.
understanding of quality and gmp affecting the food industry.
knowledge of safety and quality functions and requirements.
understanding of accounting, financial, and mrp systems is a plus.
