Responsibilities and functions:
* verify compliance with process parameters in the different areas through audits and by taking corrective actions jointly with area managers.
* verify that manufactured products meet specifications to ensure the customer does not receive out-of-spec products.
* act as leader in the coordination and preparation of 8d reports.
* follow up on corrective actions on the shop floor until closure, originating from various sources such as: anomaly notices, 8d reports, client meeting minutes, internal/external audits, etc.
* ensure all documentation generated on the shop floor as part of the quality management system is properly filled out and later handled according to retention periods.
* ensure that internal and external customer complaints are communicated at all levels and across different processes to guarantee effective communication.
* coordinate the creation of action plans for internal and/or external issues, using the appropriate format according to customer requirements.
* ensure budgeted performance for each product through daily monitoring of defects and scrap.
* exercise the authority and responsibility to stop production in the event of product quality issues and/or non-compliance with any audit point, and to resume production only once the issue is resolved.
* prepare and update the process fmea and control plan in collaboration with the project manager and process engineer, ensuring the latest version is maintained.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
* minimum 2–3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
* at least 2 years of experience within a quality department.
* experience working with oem customers such as ford, gm, stellantis, volkswagen.
* experience managing customer claims and customer-facing quality issues.
technical knowledge
* strong understanding of automotive core tools: apqp, ppap, fmea, control plan, msa, spc.
* statistical analysis and capability studies (cp, cpk, pp, ppk).
* root cause analysis methodologies (8d, 5 why, ishikawa).
* knowledge and implementation of iatf 16949.
* experience as internal auditor (iatf 16949).
* experience conducting lpas (layered process audits) and major process audits.
* development and implementation of customer specific requirements (csrs) in production lines.
* gd&t knowledge.
* development of control plans and inspection plans.
