job title: scrum master location: remote employment type: contract pay range: 35/hr usd scrum master/pm profile summary: we are seeking a highly experienced scrum master / project manager to lead agile delivery for sap s/4hana initiatives within a governed, enterprise sap coe environment.
this role will be responsible for managing sap-focused sprints, enforcing delivery governance, and ensuring alignment with clean core principles, devops practices, and enterprise standards.
the ideal candidate combines strong agile execution capabilities (scrum/kanban) with a deep understanding of sap landscapes (s/4hana, integrations, abap, basis, security) and jira-based delivery frameworks.
required qualifications 8+ years of experience as a scrum master, project manager, or agile delivery lead
strong experience managing sap projects (s/4hana preferred)
deep hands-on experience with jira (boards, workflows, reporting, dashboards)
proven experience managing agile sprints in sap environments
strong understanding of: sap modules (rtr, ptp, otc/qtc, whm, etc.) Sap development lifecycle (abap, transports, testing cycles) is a plus.
experience working within structured governance frameworks

facilitate end-to-end sap sprint lifecycle: sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups sprint reviews, demos, retrospectives
manage cross-functional sap teams (abap, functional, cpi, basis, security)
ensure sprint commitments are realistic and aligned with business priorities
track and report on sprint kpis: velocity, burn-down/burn-up, sprint predictability,defect leakage
own and administer jira boards, workflows, and backlogs
enforce jira hygiene and standardization: proper ticket classification (incident, service request, enhancement, defect)
configure and manage: sprint boards (scrum/kanban), dashboards and reporting, workflow transitions aligned with governance gates
support integration with devops tools:github / transport tools (cts+, rev-trac),testing tools (tosca, qtest) where applicable
ensure adherence to sap governance frameworks: clean core principles (a/b/c/d classification enforcement), transport and release management controls.
segregation of duties (sod) and audit readiness
drive solution gating processes: intake pre-gate it review delivery backlog
maintain compliance with:change management processes, documentation standards for audit readiness
act as the primary interface between: sas & sap delivery teams
provide executive-level reporting: weekly status updates, risk/issue management,delivery health dashboards.
manage sap project timelines, dependencies, and releases
identify and proactively mitigate risks: resource constraints, technical bottlenecks
