We are seeking a *senior data engineer* to spearhead our data engineering efforts within the cloud engineering team.
This role involves close collaboration with data scientists and product teams to process and refine data that power our cutting-edge cloud products. Responsibilities
- curate large-scale data from various sources for research and development
- design and test storage solutions, including data warehouses like clickhouse and opensearch
- implement monitoring mechanisms for data source changes using summarization and statistical methods
- develop and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient apis for data integration and retrieval
- utilize computer science algorithms to distill insights from large data sets
- convert data engineering prototypes into production-ready solutions through disciplined software practices
- build and oversee automation tools, deployment processes, and operational monitoring systems
- craft and execute detailed test plans and cases using automated testing tools
*requirements*:
- bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science or relevant field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in python3, with 2+ years in spark; scala knowledge beneficial
- background in data engineering or related fields utilizing large-scale data environments
- proficiency with sql and experience with relational databases like mysql or postgresql
- skills in developing etl pipelines and data manipulation scripts
- experience with clickhouse data warehouse
- expertise in api design and development, preferably restful, in a distributed environment
- knowledge of object-oriented design and s.o.l.i.d principles
- emphasis on unit testing and maintaining high code quality
- familiarity with aws products including emr, s3, vpc, ec2, and athena
