Senior global sourcing category manager
this is a high-level leadership role responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies for assigned categories. The ideal candidate will have expertise in supply chain management, procurement, and negotiation.
the senior global sourcing category manager will lead the development and execution of category strategies to deliver cost savings, innovation, and supplier value. This will involve establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, driving negotiations for high-value contracts, and identifying and mitigating risks related to supply chain disruptions.
key responsibilities:
* develop and execute global sourcing strategies for assigned categories to deliver cost savings, innovation, and supplier value.
* establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance standards are met and foster long-term partnerships.
* drive negotiations for high-value contracts to optimize costs, quality, delivery performance, and risk management.
* identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and geopolitical factors.
qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field or 10 years of relevant work experience (5+ years in sourcing) if no college degree.
* 5+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement; leading, developing and managing supply chain strategy and supply base.
* experience creating category strategies to manage tariff situations in different countries.
* demonstrated experience in sourcing injection molding components, including knowledge of polymer materials, mold design, and tooling project lifecycle management.
* ability to travel as needed.
* strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier contracts while driving cost savings.
