Database Management Specialist (NTT DATA, Guadalajara, MX)
Responsibilities
- Manage SQL Server databases through multiple lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance to ensure high performance, availability, and security.
- Apply data modeling techniques to support integration and performance requirements.
- Independently analyze, solve, and resolve issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution.
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Proactively identify and resolve database performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployments after hours.
- Share domain and technical expertise, provide mentorship and cross-training.
- Participate in continuous process improvement and make recommendations for system architecture per Microsoft SQL Server best practices.
Position Requirements
- 5+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience.
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using native monitoring tools.
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Experience with Windows Server, including Active Directory.
- Flexible, team player with a “get-it-done” attitude; ability to work independently and in a rapidly changing environment.
- Multi-tasking and context-switching across teams.
- Experience managing SSRS, SSIS; knowledge of SQL development.
- Knowledge of code development at SQL level.
Oracle Database Engineer / Micron Technology
As an Oracle Database Engineer (DBA), you will plan, coordinate and administer database functions, documentation, upgrades, lifecycle, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and data protection, ensuring the database runs 24/7.
