Consultant and senior consultant- business analyst

slalom mexico is looking for self-driven and curious individuals that have a passion for helping organizations solve complex business and technology problems. We are seeking professionals, interested in developing skills in the consulting industry. You’ll work closely with clients, delivery leaders, product managers, engineers, and designers to help translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. As a business analyst at slalom, you act as a connector between business and delivery execution, supporting teams as they navigate ambiguity and deliver measurable outcomes.
we are looking for candidates who are interested in working in a hybrid environment (1-2 days a week in office) as we build the foundation and grow our team in mexico. We offer a flexible working environment to balance the need to work independently, with days that may require in-person collaboration at our office.
what you’ll do
1. requirements discovery: participate in workshops and working sessions to understand business needs and document requirements.
2. business & functional documentation: create and maintain business requirements, functional documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
3. backlog & agile support: support backlog refinement and participate in agile / waterfall ceremonies.
4. process mapping: document and analyze current and future‑state processes.
5. delivery collaboration: work closely with project managers, product teams, and engineers to support delivery.
6. testing & validation: support functional testing and user acceptance testing (uat).
7. risk awareness: identify and escalate requirement‑related risks or gaps.
8. data & insights support: use basic data analysis to support requirements and decision‑making.
what you’ll bring
9. communication & stakeholder engagement: strong english communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders.
10. requirements elicitation & analysis: experience participating in workshops, interviews, and working sessions to identify gaps, needs, and requirements, and document findings clearly.
11. business & functional documentation: ability to produce and maintain business requirements, functional documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
12. backlog & agile support: working knowledge of jira (or equivalent tools) and participation in agile / scrum ceremonies and backlog refinement.
13. process mapping & visualization: experience mapping and analyzing processes using tools such as lucidchart or miro.
14. data analysis fundamentals: data analysis skills with exposure to querying for validation or insights.
15. testing & validation support: experience supporting functional testing and user acceptance testing (uat).
16. documentation & enablement support: experience contributing to user guides and documentation to support knowledge sharing and enablement (e.g., aem, salsify).
additional experience (nice‑to‑have, not required)
17. e‑commerce exposure: experience supporting e‑commerce or digital customer experiences.
18. data analysis and validation: sql experience, basic.
19. product mindset: exposure to product discovery, design thinking, mvp definition, or iterative delivery.
20. cloud & platform familiarity: exposure to aws, azure, salesforce, sap, servicenow, or similar platforms.
21. api & integration awareness: basic understanding of integrations or system dependencies.
22. uat planning & coordination: experience helping organize or coordinate uat cycles.
