this role is responsible for processing orders and credits by accurately entering data into the operating system. Additionally, this position involves collaborating with customer service team members to provide high-quality support to our customers.
general duties:

essential functions for this position include the following:
* obtain and verify patient and guarantor demographic information for billing purposes
* verify accuracy and completeness of the minimum data set for each patient assigned
* complete outstanding insurance verification, including verifying patient insurance information eligibility and benefits with the payer, coordinating multiple coverages, and all other activities relating to the review of insurance
* complete prior authorizations for identified services with the payer by reviewing medical policies to ensure all criteria is met and obtaining the required pre-certification or authorization number(s)
* complete all necessary questionnaires when needed for upcoming visits
* educate patients regarding insurance coverage and the hospital’s payment policy, if required
* obtain patient estimates for identified services and provides financial education to the patient on expected balances
* attempt to collect any patient out of pocket liabilities as identified prior to the patient’s scheduled appointment
* send appointment reminders, if required
* escalate problem accounts to pre-registration leadership team
computer requirements
* a computer running an authentic/validated native copy of windows 10, 11, or the most current macos (macs cannot be more than 5 years old) processor: dual-core 2.0 ghz or quad core or 1.6 ghz
* 3 gb of ram
* usb headset and webcam (internal or external)
