Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Mexico City, Mexico

We are seeking a data-focused Financial Controller to ensure the accuracy of financial records by
bridging operations, accounting, and technology. You’ll validate data flows, perform reconciliations, and deliver variance analyses to flag anomalies and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role supports core finance infrastructure and new product launches, including credit and treasury.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of accounting data from tech systems and operational sources
- Perform variance analysis to identify anomalies and red flags
- Carry out daily/monthly reconciliations of financial records
- Prepare audit trails and documentation to support compliance
- Build and run SQL queries for financial data analysis and reconciliation
- Collaborate with tech, product, and financial controllers on accounting flows
- Support financial infrastructure for existing and upcoming products
Adecuado Candidate Profile
- Experience: 3–5 years in a financial institution (e.g., auditor, accountant, controller,
- reconciliations)
- Education: Degree in Business Admin, Accounting, Finance, or Data Analysis
- Language: Advanced conversational English required
- Background: Could be an accountant with SQL or a tech profile willing to learn accounting
Must Have Skills
- Must be bilingual in English / Spanish
- SQL (query building, data extraction)
- Accounting knowledge (basic to medium)
- Financial statements, reconciliations
- Experience with financial entities and products
Nice to Have Skills:
- IFRS knowledge
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
