General description
as an accounting coordinator, you will be responsible for the timely delivery of accurate financial information for the mexican entities of the group for both group and statutory reporting.
this role, based at our juarez's office, will report directly to the finance manager, latam region.
*main responsibilities*:
responsible for the timely delivery of monthly financial information according to ifrs and mexican nif;
review journal entries & account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information;
develop continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and increase productivity;
ensure accounting, financial reporting and disclosures comply with international financial reporting standard (ifrs) and underlying processes comply with internal controls requirements (sox);
review weekly cash forecast requests in collaboration with the treasury department;
perform and review certain balance sheet item forecasts;
coordinate external audit and address queries from internal reviewers.
*knowledge, skills and abilities required*:
college degree in accounting or equivalent;
5 years of experience supervising people in the finance/accounting;
sap knowledge is a plus;
microsoft office suite proficient;
experience with ifrs standards;
bilingual english/spanish
strong attention to detail & accuracy
continuous improvement mindset
ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
experience leading remote collaborators (desired).
