The manufacturing learning & developmentspecialist is an experienced training professional responsible fordesigning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive trainingprograms for manufacturing employees. This position involvescollaborating with stakeholders, conducting training needsassessments, developing training strategies, and deliveringhigh-quality training content. This role will also serve as a coachto newer specialists on the team. Role & responsibility - leadthe design and development of training programs for manufacturingemployees (principal in welding area), incorporating adult learningprinciples, and utilizing a variety of instructional methods andtechnologies - conduct comprehensive training needs assessments toidentify skill gaps, performance improvement opportunities, andtraining priorities - collaborate with subject matter experts,managers, and supervisors to define learning objectives, content,and evaluation criteria for each training program - developengaging and interactive training materials, including facilitatorguides, participant workbooks, e-learning modules, videos, and jobaids - deliver and coordinate training sessions to manufacturingemployees, ensuring the effective transfer of knowledge and skills,and providing coaching and feedback as necessary - evaluate theeffectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys,and feedback mechanisms, and make recommendations for continuousimprovement - mentor and support junior trainers, providingguidance on instructional design, delivery techniques, and trainingbest practices - stay updated on industry trends, emergingtechnologies, and regulatory changes relevant to manufacturingtraining, and incorporate new approaches and methodologies asappropriate - collaborate with the training manager to develop,coordinate training logistics, manage training records anddocumentation, and do follow up on kpis. - foster a positivelearning environment that promotes employee engagement, motivation,and professional growth job requirement - bachelor's degree inrelated field or equivalent related experience - minimum of 3-5years of experience delivering training programs, preferably in amanufacturing or industrial environment - in-depth knowledge ofadult learning principles, instructional design models, andtraining methodologies - strong proficiency in e-learning authoringtools, learning management systems (lms), multimedia software, andvirtual training platforms - excellent facilitation andpresentation skills, with the ability to engage learners anddeliver content effectively - strong analytical and problem-solvingabilities, with the capacity to identify training needs and developtargeted solutions as well as identify patterns and tendencies inhistorical data. - experience with evaluating trainingeffectiveness using qualitative and quantitative methods, includingassessment design and analysis - excellent project management andorganizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, managetimelines, and meet deadlines - strong interpersonal skills and theability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders atall levels of the organization - demonstrated leadership abilities,with the willingness to guide and mentor junior trainers - legalrequirements knowledge (stps) - fluent english
