Job Description
Working at H&M; means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*:
- Preparation, reconciliation and submission of monthly VAT returns.
- Maintain compliance with CFDI e-invoicing, VAT and WHT regulations.
- Monitor VAT payment, retention and refund processes.
- Prepare, review and file corporate income tax filings.
- Prepare Tax reporting for group (IFRS) consolidation reporting purposes
- Ensure accurate Tax calculation and timely payment of CIT, WHT, and other applicable taxes.
- Support tax audits and liaise with external advisors and SAT as needed.
- Conduct deep analysis of financial data sets, identify opportunities for compliant and digital solutions
- Support Global tax team with data analysis and preparation of intercompany transactions for transfer pricing documentation
- Monitor local Tax and VAT regulatory changes from SAT
- Communicate requirements for relevant Tax and VAT updates to both local as well as global stakeholders, ensure solutions and processes can be adhered to for timely implementations
- Work Cross-functional with Global tax, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure Tax and VAT compliance across the supply chain and accounting processes.
- Collaborate with local and global stakeholders to optimize Tax and VAT processes, including the implementation, testing, and training of new procedures of tax automation tools and ERP enhancements (SAP) to ensure effective local adoption.
- Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes and improve data accuracy using Power BI and Excel.
