* identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate when necessary.
* monitor the life cycles of materials and finished products to ensure timely availability and prevent obsolescence.
* prioritize tasks and oversee adherence to plans.
* oversee the production program.
* review absent components for inclusion in the discrete job shortage report.
* develop programming based on the supply chain planning detail report.
* cancel unfulfilled orders as needed.
* ensure receipt of finished products from other facilities.
* oversee order distribution and dispatch.
* manage transactions within the system.
* evaluate and refine reports weekly.
* assess the discrete job shortage and listing reports.
* set production rates based on assembly line capacity.
* review cycle count lists.
* review reports when applicable, and communicate/discuss discrepancies.
* report system issues to facilitate transactions.
* coordinate with transportation plants.
* engage in problem-solving and decision-making within the department.
education, experience, skills, and training:
* relevant education and experience in planning.
* minimum of three years' experience as a production planner.
* proficiency in computer systems management, communication, and personnel administration.
* training manuals are required for role performance and development.
