Position title: team operations coordinator (hockey program)

location: hybrid in puebla (occasional on-site support in pista de hielo la noria, puebla)
schedule: full-time, sunday to thursday (9:00 am – 6:00 pm), friday and saturday off.
salary: $15,000 mxn monthly in direct payment
reports to: team owner
we are working with a hockey team based in puebla, and looking for a proactive and organized team operations coordinator to support the team’s daily operations. This person will assist in administrative tasks, marketing, recruitment efforts, and event logistics. While most work is remote, the role requires occasional in-person attendance during games, practices, and events.
this is a year-round position ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is detail-oriented, and is passionate about making things happen behind the scenes in a dynamic sports environment.
key responsibilities:
operations & administration
- manage the scholarship program: review applicants, request documentation, and ensure compliance with requirements. - follow up with parents on overdue payments for monthly fees. - follow up with parents on the event’s calendar and other announcements via whatsapp - coordinate fundraising efforts and donation programs, including outreach to potential donors and scheduling meetings. - maintain communication with non-profit organizations in mexico, the u.s., and canada to explore opportunities for collaboration.
recruitment, sales & events
- coordinate the street hockey recruitment program and school outreach events. - manage the referral program database and follow up with referred families to introduce them to the team. - schedule and follow up on trial classes for prospective students. - support the planning and execution of recruitment and promotional events.
marketing & communications
- manage the team’s social media channels, including basic content creation and design (e.g., canva or similar). - track and file media consent forms signed by parents. - take photos or videos at team events (sometimes on weekends). - assist with merchandise development: vendor research, catalog preparation, and coordination of orders.
skills and qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in administrative, marketing, events, or similar roles. - strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. - comfortable working independently and following instructions. - proactive and resourceful in handling day-to-day decisions. - basic design skills (e.g., canva, adobe spark, or similar). - availability for occasional on-site support in puebla. - english proficiency is a plus but not mandatory.
