Ramos arizpe manufacturing has an exciting opportunity for a structural engineering contractor manager to join our expanding team working on the williams international project. Williams international is a privately-owned company that develops and manufactures jet engines for aircraft applications. As a member of the williams engineering project, you'll support production with design changes and manage a team that structurally engineers solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
job functions:
* engineering management
- primary liaison with us-based williams international turbomachinery analysis team.
- plans analysis tasks and estimates time to complete
- assigns analysis tasks, guides and tracks progress, reviews and approves work.
- communicates status and delivers final analysis products to us-based team.
- trains and develops team's structural analysis skillsets.
- grows team with hr support by interviewing and hiring qualified engineers.
* nx modeling
- creates new and modifies existing nx models for structural simulation and analysis.
* ansys workbench structural simulation (fea)
- creates and runs structural simulations in ansys workbench mechanical to calculate temperature, deflection, stress, and strain.
* structural assessment
- interpret fea results to ensure strength and durability requirements are met.
- communicates interim results and collaborates with mechanical design and manufacturing to arrive at
* analysis documentation
- creates engineering memorandums in written report format, explaining the results obtained from previously executed simulations and the final structural recommendations.
qualifications
* bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
* experience in technical leadership & proven organizational skills that drive traceability and accountability for team's output.
* experience with solid modeling and drawing software using siemens nx cad.
* experience in structural analysis and an intermediate to advanced knowledge of metallic failure modes including strength, low and high cycle fatigue, fracture mechanics, and creep.
* proficient in ansys finite element analysis for static structural solutions. Experience with vibratory and heat transfer solutions is a plus.
* possess a working knowledge of gas turbine component manufacturing methods, engineering drawings, and gd&t.
* excellent and fluid english communication, both verbal and written.
* at least 3 years of experience in similar position in aerospace, automotive, or other related industry.
