in videojet technologies méxico we are looking for a tax specialist based in mexico city
the repsonsabilities are:
- responsible for transfer price.
- stay updated on tax legislation; communicate implication of law changes and proposal to appropriate management.
- responsible for vat.
- ensure that all taxes are properly accounted for and disclosed in accordance with us gaap and mexico rules, implement/adequate controls.
- responsible for deferred tax.
- preparation and review of various quarterly and annual financial statement tax calculations and tax analytical reviews.
- ensuring appropriate explanations of the tax contingency accrual positions are developed and provided to the external/internal auditors.
- developing tax accounting procedures and establish controls and provide education to ensure compliance with those accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
- monitoring changes in mexico law to anticipate, communicate and record the tax accounting impact on the company.
- ensuring all significant tax accounting issues and disclosures are communicated each quarter to the general accounting manager and country controller.
- understand and ensure compliance for all tax functions relating to sox and internal controls.
- ensure that all taxes, filing and payments are complete, accurate and timely.
- play the lead role in defending the tax positions during external tax audits.
to be successful in this role you will:
- have at least 4 years of experience in finance (2 years in a similar role)
- bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- master in finance/mba (desired)
- fluent in english (written and spoken).
