Electrical project manager
the electrical project manager plays a pivotal role in providing specialized technical expertise for the design, execution, and commissioning of electrical systems across various infrastructure and operational projects. This position is responsible for ensuring technical quality and operational efficiency while supporting project planning, risk management, and compliance.
* electrical systems design & review
* design, review, and validate electrical engineering specifications, drawings (medium & low voltage, lighting, grounding, emergency systems, ups, generators, m&e integration)
* review, supervise, and validate sustainability technologies such as photovoltaic panel systems and electromobility projects
* supervise compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards (nom, nec, nfpa, ieee, etc.)
* project planning & execution support
* support the development of technical scopes, schedules, and cost estimations for electrical works
* manage electrical contractors, suppliers, and integrators to ensure quality and adherence to timelines
* monitor project progress, control costs, and report deviations
* technical support & compliance
* provide electrical expertise during implementations, commissioning, and operational readiness stages
* conduct inspections, factory acceptance tests (fat), site acceptance tests (sat), and supervise electrical commissioning protocols
* risk & issue management
* identify and mitigate electrical-specific risks (load capacity, protection, redundancy, safety hazards)
* support incident investigations and corrective actions
* support in business case analyses (bca)
* provide technical inputs on electrical feasibility, estimated investment, lifecycle costs, and technical alternatives for project bcas led by project managers
* general project engineer backup
* when required, assume general project engineer responsibilities for multidisciplinary projects (civil, mechanical, hvac, infrastructure expansions) ensuring continuity in project management support
requirements
* bachelor's degree in electrical or electromechanical engineering
* proficiency in low & mid-voltage electrical design, switchgear design, single-line diagrams & drawings
* load analysis software (etap, skm power tools, or similar — optional but valuable)
* cost estimation & budget control techniques
* fat, sat, commissioning, and protection testing procedures
* regulatory knowledge (nom, nec, nfpa, ieee, iec standards)
* electrical design tools (autocad electrical, revit mep, or bim)
* desirable:
* project management methodologies (pmi, prince 2, escala, agil, etc..)
* reporting and dashboarding (excel, power bi or equivalent)
* photovoltaic panel system experience
* electromobility experience
