marketing communications specialist, staff: video editing and multimedia production (mexico city) role overview
qualcomm's creative studio team is looking for a video editor and multimedia producer with a proven track record of creating compelling videos that advance brands and achieve business objectives. This role seeks a storyteller with a passion for filmmaking and graphics who can bring narratives to life on screen. The position includes developing videos across many platforms, from short mobile phone clips for social media to highly produced films for large‐stage keynotes. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker and problem solver who thrives in a high‐stakes, high‐pressure environment.
the creative studio is a dynamic and innovative team that delivers world‐class creative solutions to support qualcomm's business objectives. The team works closely across the company's marketing organization and with outside agency partners on projects across a wide range of mediums, including graphic and multimedia design, copy, video, environmental and experiential design, and live event visuals. This position is based in qualcomm's growing creative hub in mexico city, which sits at the center of an evolving and ambitious creative strategy for the company. job summary
this role includes every aspect of post‐production, including editing, creation of motion graphics, music supervision, sound design, color correction, and more. The ability to be nimble and turn edits quickly is required, as is the ability to stitch together a diverse collection of footage into a single, compelling story. The role also requires proficiency in visual effects and the ability to independently conceptualize and create multimedia sequences based on strong knowledge of company brands and business objectives. This position sits within qualcomm's creative studio and collaborates with other creators, including writers and visual designers. The role requires a self‐starter who can work independently while also being a consensus builder who thrives as part of a team. The candidate will manage multiple projects with varying scopes and deadlines concurrently, track fast‐moving timelines and logistics, and communicate clearly and in a timely manner. Comfort working in an engineering‐focused technology environment is required.

key responsibilities
* independently handle post‐production of small- and mid‐sized video projects, including:
o editing content from multiple sources into cohesive videos aligned to creative briefs
o selecting voiceover talent and music and editing and optimizing sound
o performing color correction and grading
o creating and integrating motion graphics
o outputting videos for multiple formats, including short vertical social cuts and longer widescreen keynote opening videos
* collaborate as part of a team on larger, multi‐faceted video projects
minimum qualifications
* bachelor's degree and 3+ years of communications, marketing, public relations, or related work experience
* associate's degree and 5+ years of communications, marketing, public relations, or related work experience
* high school diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of communications, marketing, public relations, or related work experience
* completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (master's = one year, doctorate = two years) of work experience
required skills
* strong understanding of post‐production workflows, including editing, motion graphics, sound design, and color correction
* proven ability to create high‐quality, visually compelling videos for a wide range of applications
* understanding of current tools and trends in video production and motion graphics, including the use of generative ai tools as part of creative workflows
* familiarity with social media video formats and best practices, including youtube and instagram
* creative thinking and problem‐solving skills
* advanced communication skills in english
* strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
* self‐motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage projects independently and adapt to changing requirements and deadlines
technical skills
* mastery of adobe creative suite tools, including after effects, premiere pro, and frame.io, with firefly, photoshop, illustrator, indesign, and figma preferred
* proficiency with creative applications in a windows‐based environment
* strong experience with davinci resolve
* extensive experience with motion tracking, rotoscoping, compositing, and screen replacement
* strong experience with microsoft office applications, including outlook, teams, powerpoint, word, and excel
* experience with adobe workfront, preferred, or other project management and review software or systems
preferred qualifications
* 1+ year of experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership, including director level and above
* 1+ year of experience working in a large, matrixed organization
* 1+ year of experience in a program, project, and/or people leadership role
* experience in or with the technology industry, particularly in mobile, automotive, xr, compute, and iot
* proficiency in 3d motion software such as cinema 4d or blender is a plus
* powerpoint proficiency
