*job description*:
- ensure statutory accounting and tax compliance of lan country clusterco (mexico, guatemala, panama, puerto rico, and dominican republic).
this covers information required for the following entities: 1) national tax authority 2) chamber of commerce 3) national statistic authorities 3) government health institution for tenders 4) financial institutions, and others.
- lead the audit process to obtain statutory financial statements certified and signed for entities assigned.
- ensure direct tax compliance of lan country cluster working closely with local tax advisor.
- liaison with corporate finance, regional bbs, and local team
- align with indirect tax team in cr, local requirements compliance as well as support with signatures or coordinating with local team tax visits in site.
- monitoring changes in local legislation applied for taxes or statutory to communicate prospectively and in time to areas impacted.
- ensure transfer price compliance for lan country cluster: 1) at corporate level with global tax team 2) local submission to tax authority.
-, 3) distribution agreements renewal along corporate tax team and 4) intercompany agreement issuance and annual renewal for services or special projects
- work closely with bss (baxter share services) to ensure corporate reporting according usgaap principles and issue remediation.
- ensure local statutory adjustments (local gaap, tax purposes) are prepared, booked, and reconciled vs us gaap reporting.
- coordinate with local accounting team the account reconciliation and certification of local ledger
- support global financial initiatives to improve process and standardization of them.
- attend requirements of company areas ensuring the baxter and local policy compliance.
- approve account reconciliation under responsibility.
- coordinate local fixed asset & lh process from finance scope (monitoring auc, capitalization, physical counts, etc)
- participate in local projects that requires tax or accounting consultancy.
- act as legal representative for tax and legal purposes
- revision and approval of local financial statements when required.
- business support on month end financials
*competencies*:
- cpa accountant degree (required).
- strong knowledge on mexican gaap as well as ifrs (required).
- high level of taxes knowledge "direct & indirect" (required).
- experience working with jde erp or similar (required)
- experienced in audited tax report (dictamen fiscal)
- experience in cost accounting or manufacturing companies.
- understand the transfer price methodology under ocde principles (required) *negotiable.
- english level b2 - c1 (required).
- experience in process improvement tools such as alteryx, rpa, etc.
- experience in workiva stat tool, onesource tax tool
