* evaluate the supplier’s performance to meet the customer quality targets
* oversee the industrialization of electric and electronics components
* work along with suppliers to meet all needed activities and avoid deviation
* review supplier manufacturing processes and identify potential issues
* participate with supplier in the different events: pre-series, series, capacity check, isir, buy offs and q-checks
* perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and follow up / validation of actions
* carry out supplier qualification and requalification on time
* detect and promptly inform about potential risks
* gather information and ensure all documentation is uploaded into the corresponding platforms
* participate actively in regular meetings to provide status to top management and project reviews
requirements
* bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or related
* 5 to 7 years of experience inside the industry with knowledge in quality, quality systems, quality assurance, and manufacturing processes (electric and electronics components)
* experience with product/process audits according to international standards (vda, iatf16949 and/or iso 9001)
* strong knowledge of advance product quality planning (apqp), production part approval process (ppap) and failure mode and effect analysis (fmea)
* good knowledge of quality processes and quality tools
* good knowledge of measurement techniques, gd&t
* certified quality auditor under iso 19011 or vda 6.3 (desirable)
* handling of kpis and reporting
* gather of technical information, lessons learnt, concepts and customer requirements
* knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing)
* willing to travel within mexico
