key responsibilities
market & competitor analysis
✅ conduct in-depth research on mexico’s hardware market, analyzing competitors, pricing trends, and product demand across categories such as:
* agriculture & forestry equipment
* automotive, building & construction
* power tools, hand tools, plumbing, etc.
* restaurant and food equipment
✅ scrape competitor data using web tools (or manually when needed).
✅ utilize sku tracking software to monitor pricing, stock availability, and competitor positioning.
✅ analyze data trends to identify market gaps and potential products to develop.
product development & sourcing support
✅ work directly with china-based sourcing teams, providing insights on local product needs.
✅ assist in procuring product samples, benchmarking them against competitors, and recommending improvements.
✅ help develop new skus by optimizing specifications, pricing, and branding.
✅ ensure product compliance with mexican regulations and market standards .
packaging & labeling optimization
✅ evaluate competitor packaging, branding, and labeling to enhance vevor’s brand presence in mexico.
✅ propose localized product labeling improvements for compliance and better customer appeal.
marketing & sales support
✅ assist in creating sales sheets, product descriptions, and promotional content with the marketing team.
✅ work cross-functionally with global teams (marketing, sales, supply chain) to ensure successful product launches .
requirements:
mandatory qualifications
✔ fluent in english (c1 or c2).
✔ proficient in excel, sql, or data analysis tools.
✔ 1-3 years of experience in product analysis, category management, or a related role.
✔ experience in consumer goods, hardware, tools, or similar industries.
✔ ability to work full-time in an office located in polanco, mexico city.
✔ legally authorized to work in mexico (no visa sponsorship).
✔ comfortable working in a startup environment, multitasking, and building processes from scratch.
preferred qualifications
➕ experience with web scraping tools (e.g., beautifulsoup, scrapy, octoparse).
➕ familiarity with sku tracking software (e.g., dataweave, pricespider, helium 10, keepa).
➕ previous experience collaborating with sourcing teams in china or international suppliers.
➕ experience in packaging and branding strategy.
