Supplier quality engineer
are you energized by working hands‑on with manufacturing processes and making a tangible impact on product quality? At fictiv, we’re looking for a supplier quality engineer to partner closely with manufacturers and elevate quality standards across a growing supplier network in mexico.
In this role, you’ll act as the critical link between our manufacturing partners and customer expectations—ensuring every part meets high‑quality standards from the source.
What you’ll do
serve as the on‑site technical quality contact for suppliers, driving process improvements in cnc machining, sheet metal, and welding
qualify and onboard new manufacturing partners in collaboration with the strategic sourcing team
lead nonconformance resolution by coaching suppliers on root cause analysis and corrective actions
conduct on‑site and remote (virtual) audits to ensure compliance with quality standards
partner with global teams (us, china, india) to share best practices and standardize processes
actively contribute to continuous improvement of the quality management system (qms)

what we’re looking for
7+ years of experience in manufacturing (cnc machining, sheet metal, welding)
experience with ppap, new product introduction, and quality documentation
strong knowledge of core quality tools (pfmea, control plan, capability studies)
experience reviewing 8d reports and working directly with suppliers
ability to read and interpret technical drawings with gd&t
professional fluency in english and spanish
self‑driven, organized, and able to work independently
internal auditor certification (iso 9001 / iatf 16949) is a plus
