you will be working with various groups locally to establish the right processes to ensure import and export are done in the fastest, most effective way and with a fair price, always withing the legal framework of international and nationals standards and bee in alignment with koch corp. carriers' agreements.
*our team*
you will collaborate in all import/export activities at plant 1 in guadalajara, managing end-to-end logistics for direct, indirect and machinery material, aligned with kbs in its global strategies.
*what you will do*
- experience managing global logistics (import/export).
- coordinate import and export daily shipments with 3pl, forwarder & parcels (air, ocean, land) focus on machinery /equiment.
- maintain clear and timely communication with carrier and custom broker.
- provide status of shipments in transit to users and keep information updated as requested
- generate a clear and timely information line with customer service, purchasing and planning.
- coordination of carriers for export/import collections at customs.
- fulfillment of cutting schedules (loading of the unit, departure from warehouse, arrival at airport, customs clearance, delivery to airline).
- generation and review of export/import documents (proformas, packing list, entrys, review of machinery forms).
- generate instructions to aa, review of requirement reports, vobos of requirements.
- generation of reports.
*who you are (basic qualifications)*
- career administration, industrial engineering or international relations.
- english language 60-80 %. (regular to excellent oral and written communication skills in english).
- experience managing global logistics (import/export).
- comprehensive experience managing carriers & freight forwarders.
- a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and diligence.
- ability to effectively solve problems within area of responsibility.
- effective interpersonal, communication and written skills to effectively manage assigned responsibilities.
- strong strategic leadership and negotiation skills.
- excellent communication skills and ability to understand the needs of internal customers and incorporate local requirements.
- team player / ability to work with multiple functions in locations throughout the world.
- excellent problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- a sense of urgency, high energy, and self-motivated.
- computer proficiency (spreadsheet, database, presentation software).
- knowledge of microsoft office package (power point, outlook notes).
- high knowledge of excel (vlookup, additions, sumproduct, sumif).
- ctpat & aeo knowledge.
*what will put you ahead*
- 2 to 4 years minimum experience in a similar position, been in an electronic environment is a plus.
