Organization structure & reporting
the position belongs to services group. It reports directly to a pi supervisor or maintenance field engineer and also coordinates with team leader or maintenance supervisor.

job location
the position is based at one of the sites in the yucatán peninsula where rolling stock stops after revenue service: workshops, parking yards, and stations. Occasionally, the role may require accompanying a driver during test runs or revenue service, or intervening anywhere on the tren maya line.
Job hours
work is organized by rotation across shifts. Most corrective work on trains occurs during the night shift, while technical assistance covers revenue service hours.
Main responsibilities
carry out maintenance activities of the rolling stock, including occasional corrective troubleshooting, pre‑warranty & commissioning, and preventive fleet checks, primarily in workshops and parking yards.
Report and register deviations in the failure management database, including configuration data.
Support operations by performing data analysis with healthhub®.
Open failure notifications and manage corrective service orders in the maintenance management system.
Apply and enforce alstom & customer ehs & security rules and relevant pi processes.
Execute test and troubleshooting procedures to evaluate system performance and conduct failure analysis.
Support implementation of field modifications and specific technical investigations with engineering or internal/external suppliers.
Recommend preventive and corrective actions, instruct operators, and advise pi management on customer satisfaction and product enhancements.
Ensure information flow about interventions and operations for shift transitions.
Conduct peer reviews of pi activities and provide technical leadership as requested.
Contribute to return of experience.

educational requirements
mandatory:
certified technician or undergraduate in a mechanical or electrical/electronics technical area
minimum it knowledge
internal ehs training
desirable:
graduate in a technical area (mechanical or electrical/electronics)
fluent reading and writing in english, capable of following a technical conversation
experience
mandatory:
technical troubleshooting, investigation, and testing experience (mechanical or electrical/electronic)
field experience
knowledge of ehs and exposure to railway product knowledge
desirable:
railway safety/product liability experience
engineering knowledge
customer contact experience
