Accountabilities
* work closely with director & head and associate director, trade & working capital solutions specialist and tmo and act as a subject matter expert
* champion a client focused culture to develop the most appropriate solution that enhances the overall client relationship and leverage internal and external stakeholder relationships, systems and knowledge. (e.g. legal, fintech provider, gwo)
* in collaboration with the tmo director & head and associate director, trade & working capital solutions, responsible for providing solutions to clients
* contribute to the clients' and gtb business goals by providing the right solution, that retains and increases the overall profitability of the client relationship while maintaining an acceptable level of risk
* in close collaboration with the tmo and gbm, identify market trends that could drive new opportunities prepare and deliver client pitches, structure and analyze new transactions
* in close collaboration with tmo and gbm rm, grow and expand existing programs and handle customer requests for amendments of existing credit facilities: complete risk assessments and prepare credit presentations and recommendations
* review trade & working capital product terms and credit/legal documentation in conjunction with internal and external legal counsel, culminating in the closing of transactions
* lead end-to-end product onboarding of new clients by coordinating with internal partners (tmo, corporate banking, grm, execution, operations, gbm onboarding).
* identify and provide risk mitigation strategies such that working with the tmo and gbm rm, the risk of any program is within the bank's risk appetite and our risk culture is adhered to
* pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with scotiabank's values, its code of conduct and the, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, aml/atf/sanctions and conduct risk.

experience
* 2-3 years of relevant corporate banking experience
* seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
* proven negotiation, active listening, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* concern and regard for managing operational and enterprise risk.
* experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, and structuring is essential
* experience in contact negotiations with both clients and legal counsel
* excellent written and oral communication skills
