*job summary*
- this role is responsible for leveraging medical expertise to provide comprehensive healthcare services to employees, contributing to their well-being and improved work environments. The role diagnoses a wide range of medical conditions, delivers personalized care plans, prescribes appropriate treatments, and offers guidance on preventive measures. The role prevents and manages work-related health issues through medical assessments, expert advice, and strategic interventions.
*responsibilities*
- develop and implement occupational health and preventive medicine programs that ensure legal compliance, in accordance with corporate standards.
- monitor the health of associates.
- conduct entrance, periodic, transition, and special medical examinations. Participate as a key member in ergonomic evaluations of workstations.
- train occupationally exposed personnel on health damage prevention. Supervise, motivate, and evaluate the nursing team.
- ensure the availability of medication, equipment, and materials for patient care in the medical office.
- participate in the investigation of work-related incidents and contribute to the design of strategies for their prevention.
- stays updated with occupational health and safety regulations and standards, ensuring workplace practices align with legal requirements.
- verify and approve the generation and changes to procedures.
*education & experience* recommended*
- four-year or graduate degree in nursing, medicine, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. Diploma or postgraduate in occupational health
- typically, has at least 2 years of experience in similar positions
- 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in emergency medical treatment/ support, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
