apex systems is seeking gaming content moderators to oversee discussion board content within a well-known online video game. The role focuses on identifying sensitive, inappropriate, lewd content, threats, violence, and other material prohibited by the game. Prior experience with highly graphic content is preferred.

responsibilities
* review content to ensure community guidelines are met with a high standard of accuracy and quality
* moderation types include image, text, video, audio, and 3d experiences
* maintain a high level of compliance and confidentiality standards
* regularly review training materials to stay current on workflow changes, operational guidelines, and policy updates
* comply with performance indicators defined by operational goals
* review sensitive content including reporting and handling of inappropriate material
qualifications
* 6 months of experience in any technical support field (customer service, service desk, and/or help desk)
* ability to handle large amounts of user-generated content
* ability to deal with sensitive situations and malicious content online
* ability to be objective rather than subjective
* excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
* critical thinking and investigative skills
* ability to quickly adapt and adjust priorities as new projects and processes come online
* strong written and verbal communication
* computer skills with experience in word processing, spreadsheets, and slide decks (ideally google workspace)
preferred qualifications
* experience in trust and safety or moderation/support roles
* knowledge of the gaming industry, social media, or related areas
* understanding of social media content creation and its impacts
* stays up to date with online trends and popular culture
* degrees related to psychology, communications, or investigations can be helpful
