Key responsibilities
* develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and services within the assigned category in alignment with category management objectives.
* negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable commercial terms.
* partner with global sites to understand procurement needs and ensure alignment with the global strategy.
* lead the creation, negotiation, and management of supplier contracts and contract management.
* monitor and assess supplier performance against kpis and quality standards.
* maintain supplier documentation (ndas, framework agreements, code of conduct, etc.).
* creating and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues.
* ensure made-to-order items are produced and delivered as per specifications and timelines.
* follow up on non-conformities in collaboration with the quality department.
* implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* work closely with ops, product management, r&d, and quality to align procurement strategies with product and quality goals.
