Accounting manager role
we are seeking a seasoned accounting manager to lead our team in financial operations and strategic decision making. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in transactional accounting, billing and intercompany experience in a multinational group.
the selected individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining internal controls and compliance with corporate policies, us gaap and nif accounting requirements.
the successful candidate will also lead finance internal projects affecting accounting processes, actively participate in cross-functional projects that affect the accounting function and develop and set expectations for the team members.
in addition, the accounting manager will recruit, motivate, develop and support succession planning purposes contributing to the internal finance talent pipeline and promote a respectful and positive team working environment.
the ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting or equivalent, more than seven years of experience in transactional accounting and advanced analytical skills, ability to get into the details while also seeing and understanding the big picture.
a master's degree from a recognized university is a plus and proficiency in people soft or oracle is desired. English fully bilingual is essential.
key responsibilities:
* reviews and ensures intercompany transactions among group entities are properly recorded and reconciled in the general ledger.
* led and coordinates store's tenders reconciliations and stores' cash management reviews to mitigate discrepancies and inaccurate financial statements balances.
* supports commercial credit team with bad debt analysis, doubtful balances transfers within peoplesoft system.
* maintains proper internal controls and compliance with corporate policies, usgaap and nif accounting requirements.
