Manufacturing process improvement engineer
this role offers the opportunity to drive impactful improvements across multiple assembly process steps, enabling manufacturing and increasing production rates. Key responsibilities include:
* conducting research to evaluate potential solutions related to equipment selection, procedures, manpower, or training.
* establishing and implementing quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.
* reviewing and providing analytical input to documents, such as proposals or operational procedures, to support studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
* planning the sequence of operations and procedures and documenting manufacturing standard work and routings.
* supporting production build operators with immediate needs on tooling and processes to meet production schedules.
required skills and qualifications include:
* a university degree in engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
* ability to work in a 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm) setting.
* intermediate to advanced proficiency in microsoft excel.
* strong communication and presentation skills.
* excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
bonus points for candidates with project management experience, knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, and experience with solidworks.
