Responsibilities
Role based in Mexico City.
PMF Strategy supports long-term vision and strategy, prioritizing initiatives to stay ahead of competition and maintain market leadership. Develop actionable solutions and ensure a seamless planning process year over year.
Be the right-hand person to the Strategy Sr. Director on strategy projects including: PMF’s business strategy setting (Strategic Deep Dives), growth and efficiency projects, regulations impact and mitigation mapping, and M&A; agenda in Mexico.
Ideate and assess complex qualitative and quantitative analyses, define second-order implications, and achieve alignment with PMF’s Executive Committee through leadership-ready storytelling (PowerPoint, memos, business cases) using Excel, PowerBI, etc.
Drive and manage multi-functional teams on strategic projects with the Strategy Sr. Director. Topics include long-term strategy (3–5 years), turnaround recommendations, value-chain transformations, M&A; due diligence, cost optimization, operating model refinement, and regulatory impacts.
Provide thought leadership to business partners and executives, and influence senior leadership through rigorous analysis and clear storytelling.
Lead the planning and execution of the Strategic Deep Dive (SDD) process in coordination with PMF’s Executive Committee and Latam strategy team.
Solve business problems using an answer-first methodology with hypothesis-based frameworks and defined drill-down analysis.
Collaborate with LATAM Strategy and other functions to conduct competitive analysis and risk identification in MX & LATAM.
Prepare materials for C-suite decision making and drive actionable outcomes with a value-first approach.
Support portfolio strategy and M&A; initiatives; help revamp the Strategy function’s operating model and maintain a healthy project pipeline.
Coach junior team members and develop talent within PepsiCo.
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
8+ years of experience
Graduated from a Mexican top-tier university in a STEM degree (MBA preferred)
Experience in top-tier consulting (CPG experience desirable)
Strategic mindset, highly structured and analytical with strong business judgment
Strong analytical skills, capable of navigating ambiguity with hypothesis-driven problem solving
Team management experience with solid work plans across multiple business areas
Ability to structure, process and analyze data and translate insights into business decisions
Self-starter with ability to manage up and take ownership
Can-do attitude and ability to drive projects to completion
Global outlook with cultural awareness
Spanish and English proficiency
Strategic thinker who can codify long-term profitable growth for the organization
Strong stakeholder relationship skills and effective collaboration in a matrix environment
Ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams
Ability to communicate complex problems clearly through storytelling
Financial/market analysis expertise with a focus on value
80/20 focus on issues that move the needle for PMF
