**WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:*** Support painting & chemical baths processes to ensure equipment is uptime, meet production goals and maintain high product quality* Prepare and maintains documentation (Standard Work, and Work Instructions) for new and existing equipment.* Find opportunities and lead projects to improve efficiency, decrease costs, improve quality, and achieve timely delivery to meet production requirements.* Lead new equipment financial justifications, installations, process modifications and improvements.* Work with operators, team leaders, value stream managers, and planners to optimize process center layouts and designs incorporating material flow and line balancing.* Collaborate with maintenance and operators to resolve equipment issues.* Coordinate with Product Development to effectively launch new products into high-volume manufacturing.**YOU HAVE:*** Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry or Industrial preferred.* Bilingual.* Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.* Proficient in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.* Lean manufacturing background and a strong focus on continuous improvement.* 3+ years’ experience as a Paint Engineer (powder paint desire) or related discipline with the following knowledge:* Chemical Pretreatment - (Know how to measure and control parameters), filling out control sheets, scheduled cleaning maintenance, changing rinse aids, sprayers, etc.* Drying Oven - Ensure proper temperature settings for the process, as well determinate set up for the gas consumption.* Paint Room - Management and maintenance of application equipment, including how guns, modules, pots or feeders, pumps, fluidization beds, particle sizes, recycling mixing, cartridge filters, final filters, air flow, operating parameters, weekly maintenance, maintaining parts for production, etc.* Curing Oven: Know the proper temperature setting for the process, know how to determine temperature profiles, understand the internal workings of airflow (vents and dampers), know how to determine speeds and product exposure inside the oven, and maintain oven cleanliness, as well determinate set up for the gas consumption.* Conveyor: Know the available system capacity, monitor its maintenance with lubrication, and perform semi-annual cleaning of the rotating hooks to aid in material grounding.* Reverse Osmosis: Know the fundamentals of reverse osmosis and its pretreatment for membrane protection.
