Position overview
fintech in mexico is seeking a results-driven
marketing manager
to lead growth, brand strategy, and digital acquisition. The ideal candidate has a strong background in digital marketing, analytics, and brand management, with proven experience in driving customer acquisition and engagement in the financial technology sector.
key responsibilities
1. Marketing strategy & planning
* develop and implement the overall marketing strategy for mexico, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and local market conditions.
* lead the planning and execution of comprehensive marketing campaigns that drive growth, awareness, and engagement.
* plan, manage, and optimise the overall marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and strong roi.
* define and track key performance indicators (kpis) such as cac, ltv, roi, cps, and cpl.
2. Digital acquisition & performance marketing
* manage user acquisition for mobile applications through internal channels (uac, facebook, google ads, etc.) and affiliate networks.
* evaluate and optimise paid campaigns across performance channels to achieve volume, cost, and quality targets.
* monitor channel effectiveness (cps, cpl), conversion rates, and campaign roi, implementing continuous a/b testing and optimisation.
* collaborate with analytics teams to track attribution, conversion funnels, and customer journeys.
3. Brand management & communication
* oversee brand positioning, identity, and consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
* develop and execute campaigns—digital and above-the-line—to increase brand awareness and strengthen brand equity.
* lead corporate communications, public relations, and thought-leadership initiatives to position the company as a trusted fintech brand.
* develop brand guidelines and ensure consistency across regional marketing teams and external partners.
4. Product marketing & go-to-market
* collaborate with product teams to define value propositions and go-to-market strategies for new fintech products and features.
* translate product capabilities into clear, customer-centric marketing messages and campaigns.
* conduct competitor and market analysis to refine positioning and uncover new opportunities.
5. Content, social media & engagement
* oversee content strategy and execution for multiple markets (including mexico and india).
* manage social media presence across platforms, increasing engagement and follower growth through creative campaigns and storytelling.
* coordinate influencer marketing, email marketing, and community-building efforts to improve user engagement and retention.
* support customer lifecycle management initiatives—activation, retention, and referral programs.
6. Partnerships & ecosystem marketing
* build and manage strategic partnerships and co-marketing programs with fintech, banking, and technology partners.
* identify potential strategic alliances to expand reach and generate qualified leads.
* negotiate affiliate and aggregator agreements, ensuring alignment with brand and performance objectives.
7. Market research & data-driven insights
* conduct ongoing research on customer behavior, market trends, and competitor activities.
* use insights and data analytics to inform marketing strategies, optimise campaigns, and identify growth opportunities.
* maintain a strong understanding of fintech industry trends (payments, lending, blockchain, etc.) and translate these into actionable marketing plans.
8. Technology & innovation
* explore and integrate emerging marketing technologies (ai tools, automation, analytics platforms) to enhance marketing efficiency.
* regularly review and improve the website and mobile app ui/ux to ensure a seamless and engaging customer experience.
* ensure the company remains at the forefront of digital marketing innovation and regulatory best practices.
9. Compliance & risk management
* ensure all marketing materials and campaigns comply with financial industry regulations and brand standards.
* partner with legal and compliance teams to review content, partnerships, and promotions in line with regulatory guidelines.
10. Team & agency management
* lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a high-performance and data-driven culture.
* oversee agency and vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
* develop selection guidelines and manage rfp processes for external agencies and consultants.
qualifications & skills
* bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field (master's preferred).
* 5+ years of experience in marketing management, ideally within the fintech or digital financial services industry.
* strong knowledge of digital acquisition, performance marketing, and growth analytics.
* excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
* experience managing budgets, cross-functional teams, and multiple market strategies.
* fluent in english and spanish (additional languages a plus).
the office is currently in del. Benito juarez but we will be moving to polanco by january.
