responsibilities
* manage all aspects of financial and accounting functions for the site.
* administer plant controllers and be accountable for the site under your responsibility.
* manage annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and the management accounting/reporting process.
* advise the management team on all financial/budgetary requirements and develop financial goals in partnership with plant and corporate leadership.
* ensure plant goals and initiatives are developed in line with company values, strategic goals, and business plans.
* review control procedures over accounting and financial activities.
* provide guidance to ensure internal accounting controls are in place to protect company assets.
* ensure an adequate system of internal control is maintained and that general ledger accounts are correctly stated, maintaining sox compliance.
* oversee preparation of the plant's financial reporting.
* analyze and report manufacturing efficiency variances and determine corrective action requirements.
* ensure items are correctly classified and all reporting is prepared in accordance with gaap.
* seek continuous improvement and use of best practices throughout the organization.
* actively manage career development of direct reports, review performance, and provide coaching and counseling as required to increase performance.
background / qualifications
* minimum of 3 years accounting and finance experience in automotive manufacturing environment.
* bachelor degree in accounting or finance; master degree preferred.
* cpa or local equivalent preferred.
* advanced english level.
* excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work with high degree of accuracy.
* proficiency in ms word, excel and powerpoint.
* knowledge of sarbanes‑oxley legislation and requirements (preferred).
