Job description
we are seeking an enthusiastic and goal-oriented leisure sales manager to join our team in the vibrant destination of puerto cancún, mexico. As a key member of our sales department, you will drive revenue opportunities within the luxury leisure, consortia, wholesale, entertainment, and cruise segments while ensuring exceptional client relationship management.
* develop, solicit, and manage accounts across assigned leisure and entertainment segments to meet or exceed annual revenue goals
* identify new business through proactive prospecting, market research, sales calls, and feeder-market travel
* build and maintain strong partnerships with travel advisors, consortia partners, wholesalers, and entertainment accounts
* conduct property tours, site inspections, and familiarization trips to showcase our hotel
* negotiate rates and services within approved guidelines and prepare written confirmations and sales contracts
* coordinate with revenue management and reservations to ensure timely and accurate loading of contracted rates
* manage annual consortia rfp submissions and maintain relationships with luxury travel partners
* oversee entertainment segment bookings, including rate negotiations and production-specific needs
* collaborate with internal departments to support vip and consortia guest experiences
* represent the hotel at key tradeshows, client events, and sales missions
* monitor booking trends and production data to drive strategic decisions
* maintain compliance with all company policies and brand standards
qualifications
* minimum of two years of hotel or travel industry sales experience
* bachelor's degree preferred
* proven ability to build strong relationships through prospecting, networking, and client engagement
* excellent communication, organization, and time management skills with strong attention to detail
* advanced proficiency in microsoft office, with strong excel and powerpoint skills
* experience with opera cloud, crm systems, and gds tools
* strong analytical skills and ability to interpret booking trends and production data
* high level of integrity, professionalism, and customer-service commitment
* proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* knowledge of the puerto cancún and mexican tourism market
* fluency in english and spanish
* ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
