Senior project manager – construction project, ciudad juárez

Job description
the senior project manager will take responsibility for end‑to‑end service delivery, ensuring client objectives are met through an effective service. The role involves interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages, managing schedules and budgets, and overseeing general contractors and other directly contracted vendors and consultants. The manager will review construction work, approve capital expenditure spends, revise cost estimates prepared by contractors, and plan, organize, schedule, direct and control the delivery of the project on time.
Responsibilities

review construction, correct and assess work‑in‑place, approve capital expenditure spends, including revision of cost estimates prepared by contractors and others within a client’s organization.
Plan, organize, schedule, direct and control the delivery of the project on time.
Lead client and other required meetings, presenting updates at all project stages.
Manage risks and control the risk register, conduct risk workshops.
Monitor construction costs and report on data.
Issue reports as agreed with client.
Run at field with quality control formats validation for civil works.
Support design management and identify construction method opportunities.
Support engineering decisions related to project cost and budget while design‑build changes take place during construction.
Review requests for payment, advocate for the client during disputes, disagreements, modifications, or change orders.
Analyse, track and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.
Track and ensure equipment meets the project schedule.
Lead value engineering sessions as required.
Oversee and manage the transfer of building operations to the client including all close‑out documentation and warranties.

Qualifications

minimum of 10 years experience as a project manager.
Sector experience (industrial, manufacturing, hospitality/interiors, retail).
Experience in commissioning.
Experience in leed projects is a plus.
Engineering or architectural degree with chartered status.
Fluent in english and spanish at a working level.
Pmi or equivalent certification is a plus.
Knowledge of microsoft project and primavera p6 is a plus.
Microsoft office tools.
Knowledge of autocad, bim.

Skills

Advanced skills with spreadsheets, report writing, presentations.
Management experience, ability to lead team, deliver commission and general line management.
Manage revenue, team resources, and priorities to meet client expectations.
Elevated sense of quality, lead quality control actions.
Knowledge of health and environmental safety in construction.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Self‑starter, team player, natural leader capable of motivating teams.
