* oversee end‑to‑end accounting activities for several legal entities in mexico, ensuring financial information is accurate, timely and consistent with local and international accounting frameworks.
* drive the preparation, review and release of financial statements in compliance with ifrs and local accounting requirements, including monthly and year‑end close processes.
* lead, coach and performance‑manage the accounting team, promoting accountability, capability development and robust internal controls.
* act as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, coordinating audit activities and managing interactions with auditors and external advisors.
* manage core general ledger processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and provisions, foreign exchange revaluations and intercompany/service invoicing as applicable.
* partner closely with tax and finance stakeholders to address regulatory inquiries and support compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.
* identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, standardization and compliance across accounting operations, in line with corporate policies and best practices.

* bachelor's degree in accounting.

* recent experience within global manufacturing organizations.
* more than 5 years of experience in financial accounting, including preparation and analysis of financial statements and month‑end closings, in managerial roles leading teams.
* practical knowledge of ifrs and basic tax principles.
* hands‑on experience working with sap as an erp system.
