what you'll do
* manage the operational processes we have between signify and customs broker parties
* act as the linking pin between customs broker(s) and logistics organization in the region and the gtc team
* organize and drive the (service) review calls with customs broker(s) on several managerial levels (mbr/qbr/abr)
* drive improvements on process quality / compliance and costs levels
* participate in and evaluate tenders / prices increase requests
* work closely together with trade and customs team to shape the customs broker base according to the global strategy
* initiate / manage escalations towards the customs broker, based on fap (fast action to problems) principle
* deploy gtc standards on customs brokerage processes in operations
* functional guidance towards the regional sites, performing customs activities.
* control the invoicing process
* financial
* manage costs level of the customs broker, in close cooperation with trade and customs team
* responsible for vendor and po creation of customs brokers, for the services provided by the broker(s).
* ensure a smooth payment process towards customs brokers, following signify's payment policy and strategy
* manage the customs broker performance from/to all regional sites, ensuring a smooth process without delays.
* build and maintain strong relations with the customs broker base in the region
* build and maintain strong relations with the local customs teams in the shipping sites.
* build and maintain strong relations with the global trade and compliance team
* member of the delivery operations team within the logistic regional control tower organization
your qualifications
* strong customer focus, high levels of customer service
* knowledge and experience on incoterms
* knowledge and experience on import / export processes
* proven track-record in managing service providers.
* analytical skills
* problem solving skills, get energy from dealing with problems and solving them
* pro-active and challenging attitude towards custom brokers and other stakeholders to solve issues fast
* logistics background, at least 5 years working experience in logistics environment
* excellent coordination skills in logistics environment.
* excellent communication skills to be able to pro-actively manage all stakeholders
* speed and execution focused
* proven track-record in standardization and harmonization of processes
* good language skills in english language
