* identifies appropriate defined plan outlining scheme requirements.
* identifies if all required items (documents, contracts, and/or samples) are available as defined by the scheme checklist.
* supports sales and engineering with gma scheme‐related inquiries.
* communicates to internal/external clients regarding required information per checklist, project status and final project deliverables.
* supports internal/external customers in understanding regulatory requirements to access global markets.
* independently works with cross‐functional divisions and teams to ensure projects remain on track; may act as subject‐matter expert for specific schemes.
* supports the global gma team to build and maintain operational tools and databases.
* may handle simple gma research projects and other knowledge services.
* may mentor gma project handlers.
* suggests and supports continuous improvement projects.
* reads and follows the underwriters laboratories code of conduct, and follows all physical and digital security practices.
* performs other duties as directed.
responsibilities
* ensure end‐to‐end execution of inspection and certification delivery in alignment with global market access requirements, regulatory frameworks, and iso/iec 17020 principles.
* review client requests and technical documentation to confirm scope, applicable requirements, and action criteria before project initiation.
* develop, verify, and coordinate inspection plans, ensuring consistency between customer scope, standards, sampling requirements, and regulatory obligations.
* support impartiality and technical competence, ensuring inspection activities meet iso/iec 17020 independence, objectivity, and quality requirements.
* maintain strong documentation control, ensuring all records comply with internal quality system requirements and iso/iec 17020 documentation practices.
* prepare for and support internal and external audits, including evidence collection, corrective action management, and continuous improvement follow‐up.
* communicate effectively with clients, clarifying requirements, providing updates, and ensuring alignment throughout the delivery process.
qualifications
* advanced level of english.
* technical or associated degree in engineering, quality management or related fields.
* experience working under 17020 inspection standard.
* strong understanding of product compliance process including the ability to evaluate conformity with commercial information standards (nom‐024, nom‐050, nom‐004).
