responsible for coordination of project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by worley. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders. Bridges the technical gap between the project manager and engineers. Often functions as assistant project manager with an engineering background. Ascertains that engineering work is done according to plan by helping with design interpretation. Reviews bill of materials/project schedules/forecasts for accuracy. This role would apply to those with an engineering background.
responsibilities
* responsible for supervision and coordination of the contractors.
* responsible for ensuring that the drawings and specifications are adhered to; civil engineer preferred.
* has experience with site work and underground piping.
* has experience dealing with multiple contractors.
* understands what rfi, submittals, and shop drawings are, and their tracking.
* can write scopes of work.
* translates contract requirements for project scope into worley scope of services and deliverables.
* ensures project schedules and resource plans are developed and utilized in managing the project tasks.
* manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress.
* develops action plans to address project tasks and issues.
* basic understanding of project control reports and identified problem areas.
* promotes value creation and sustainable solutions objectives for project.
* understands the customer’s key drivers (kpis).
* establishes good working relationship with customer technical counterpart.
* establishes relationships with external vendors and suppliers.
* develops a relationship of trust and respect with ability to discuss project progress, challenges, and issues in a transparent manner.
what you will bring requirements:
* typically 8+ years engineering experience, including 5 to 7 years technical, supervisory and/or management experience, developing project management experience; e, ep project experience.
* 5-10 years of field experience with large projects.
* auto cad experience preferred.
* strong understanding of worley management and knowledge systems, processes and tools. Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues. Competent in microsoft outlook, word, excel, teams and powerpoint. Can organize information from many sources and retain as per the prescribed format and policies.
* competent in microsoft access and visio.
* university degree or equivalent in engineering or equivalent experience with professional registration in local jurisdiction.
* professional registration in local jurisdiction; certified project management professional by a globally recognized project management organization (ipma, apm, pmi, aipm).
