* evaluate the supplier's performance to meet the customer quality targets
* work along with suppliers to meet all needed activities and avoid deviations
* review supplier manufacturing processes and identify potential issues
* perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and follow up / validation of actions
* follow up on the production floor to track the progress of the actions and their correct implementation
* detect and promptly inform about potential risks
* gather information and ensure all documentation is uploaded into the corresponding platforms
* participate actively in regular meetings to provide status to top management and project reviews
requirements
* education in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering and/or related
* 5+ years of experience inside the industry with knowledge in production, quality and manufacturing processes
* 4+ years as technical expert on restraint systems (airbags) is a must
* project management
* high skills / knowledge on quality core tools (msa, p-fmea)
* good knowledge of measurement techniques, gd&t, gage r&r
* strong knowledge of manufacturing processes evaluation and root cause analysis tools (8ds / pdca)
* experience with product/process audits according to international standards (vda, iatf16949 and/or iso 9001)
* good knowledge of quality processes and quality tools
* certified quality auditor under iso 19011 or vda 6.3 (desirable)
* handling of kpis and reporting
* gather of technical information, lessons learnt, concepts and customer requirements
* knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing
* sap (desirable)
* availability to travel inside mexico
* fluent english
* position for 3 months
