The groups sales manager is responsible for proactively soliciting, negotiating, and managing group business celebrations and weddings for one&only mandarina, responding to inquiries within the set time frame all with the intention of confirming profitable catering business and achieving annual sales group goals, with a primary focus on weddings and incentive groups from international markets outside the united states and canada.
proactively solicit and secure wedding and incentive group business in assigned international markets (excluding u.identify opportunities for social celebrations, destination weddings, buyouts, and high‐end incentive travel aligned with the property's ultra‐luxury positioning.
develop customized proposals reflecting the guest journey, cultural nuances, and expectations of international clients.
maximize total hotel revenue through strategic upselling of rooms, f&b events, venues, spa, experiences, transportation, and curated moments.
keep director of group sales & events promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matter so prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate.
build and nurture strong relationships with international wedding planners, incentive houses, luxury travel designers, dmcs, and agencies.
serve as the primary contact during the pre‐contract and pre‐arrival phases, ensuring clarity, trust, and responsiveness.
conduct virtual and in‐person site inspections and participate in international sales trips, tradeshows, and luxury showcases.
partner closely with events, catering, conference services, culinary, spa, finance, and operations to ensure flawless execution of weddings and incentives.
maintain a strong understanding of global wedding and incentive trends, seasonality, and competitive landscapes.
comply with one&only standards for sales and marketing, while working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and planning committee.
participate in sales presentations, property tours, customer meetings, and business review meetings with team.
adjust sales plan and strategies accordingly whilst notifying updated in the weekly report.
develop and maintain best practices, policies, and service initiatives to achieve optimal sales service and client retention.
excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the english language.
previous experience in group sales management is mandatory.
supervision and overall responsibility of the groups function including maintaining and monitoring the accuracy and effectiveness of all written communication from group sales managers and coordinators.
the ability to achieve yearly personal sales booking goals.
has the ability to interpret all group ceilings, delphi or opera sales and catering alongside hotel's policies, procedures, and standards.
