As a test engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting production and new product introduction (npi) by designing and developing test fixtures and software for various electrical tests including functional, hipot, in-circuit, and hass. You will collaborate with global design teams to resolve test-related issues, enhance test systems, and improve yield and reliability. Your contributions will ensure compliance with quality standards, reduce false failures, and support audits and quality alerts. This position reports to the testing manager in matamoros, tamaulipas site. Responsibilities design test fixtures for programming, functional, hipot, in-circuit, and hass test. Support npi activities. Provide required test documentation for the npi products. Develop new test software for functional, hipot, in-circuit, and hass test. Interact with designers from plano and shanghai to solve all test issues related to design during npi or manufacturing process. Work with test technicians providing guidance and support for test issues in manufacturing. Interact with designers to ensure electrical cpk's meet 1.5. Create test documentation, procedures, and forms to meet quality systems. Study testing problems and determine solutions. Improve functional test programs to eliminate bugs, reduce cycle time, and enhance yield on production lines. Develop and integrate new test systems as required. Reduce ntfs related to electrical test. Collaborate with other departments to achieve test yield of 99.5%. Support quality control of manufacturing operations: yield alert, qafi, on hold.
