Work Schedule:
- 12-Hour Shifts (Based on Production Schedule)
- Rotating shift schedule, alternating between day shift and night shift every two weeks.
Position Summary:
Enchem America is seeking a highly motivated NMP Process Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining chemical processing equipment involved in the production of N-Methylpyrrolidone (NMP). The technician will ensure product quality, process efficiency, and strict adherence to safety standards.
The ideal candidate has an engineering background and will be cross-trained in various areas of production, including support for control room operations. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment are critical for success in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain NMP production equipment including reactors, distillation units, and towers
- Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates
• Prepare NMP batches following strict formulation guidelines
- Conduct quality control tests to ensure materials meet defined specifications
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of processing issues
• Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and test results
• Assist in improving production efficiency and identifying process bottlenecks
• Supervise S-NMP packaging and oversee shipping/receiving activities

- Manage inventory of raw materials and C-NMP on site
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of chemical waste
- Support development engineers with sample analysis and characterization
• Assist in forklift operations and consumable restocking when needed
• Train other technicians on production and safety protocols
- Identify process anomalies and communicate observations effectively
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Degree in Science or Engineering required (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of chemical processing equipment and safety procedures
• Ability to operate a full-scale production line
- Familiarity with SAP, MES, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping accuracy
- Effective communicator and team collaborator
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends
- Bilingual in Spanish and English or Korean and English preferred
