the aquaculture certification program provides high-quality, third-party auditing and consulting services worldwide. Its operations range from small, family-owned shrimp concessions to large, vertically integrated salmon-producing corporations.
under the direction of a technical manager, the technical specialist i, aquaculture will conduct audits of feed mills and seafood processing plants. Additional responsibilities include programmatic support to auditors, clients, international affiliates, and colleagues.
* key responsibilities:
o plan and conduct on-site audits of aquaculture operations against applicable standards
o serve as project manager for assigned projects, ensuring smooth progression from audit completion through certification decision
o engage with stakeholders to explain the audit process; record and address comments received
* auditing and technical oversight:
o draft and submit detailed reports of audit results utilizing relevant report templates
o make certification decisions on audit projects
o perform technical review of reports submitted by other staff or contract auditors
* program quality and development:
o support accreditation through participation in internal and external non-conformities closure
o participate in internal and external audit processes to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant standards and policies
o collaborate with standards owners to update and develop standards and associated processes and materials
